Bun-snatching competition

A bun-snatching competition was held on Hong Kong's Cheung Chau Island on
midnight May 6, pushing the Peace Festival to another peak. Vigorous lion
show was staged at the opening ceremony. The Peace Festival is also
called "Bun Festival", a gala full of local characteristics on Cheung
Chau Island held around the eighth day of the fourth month in Chinese
lunar calendar each year. The grand banner parade consisted of varied
teams such as Chaozhou gong and drum team, the lion dance team, the
colorful flag team and the banner team with thousands of participants,
pushing the festival to a climax.
A bun-snatching competition was held on Hong Kong's Cheung Chau Island on
midnight May 6, pushing the Bun Festival to another peak. The skilled and
strong players vied for the championship. Guo Jiaming, the winner of last
year's individual competition, continued to be the laureate.
