Gigantic kite

www.chinanews.cn 2005-03-24 13:55:34

Yesterday, a 200-meter-long kite with a dragonhead and a centipede body
made its debut in Beijing's Yuyuantan Park. With a 0.6-meter diameter,
the kite is constructed around a bamboo framework using water-proof silk.
It took three senior artisans one month to complete the kite. It requires
thirty men and a force five wind to get the kite airborne.
